The Coach Lab offers a range of packages to help support your journey through the LTA Coaching Qualifications whilst at university.  We recognise the opportunity to move from Assistant, Instructor and Coach in a local environment will not only help you to become more qualified and bolster your CV but to gain qualifications are that are useable whist you are at university.

On average an Instructor can command £15-£20 per hr as a coach, leading sessions and providing head coaches with the ability to grow programmes and create outreach. There is currently a significant need for Instructor level coaches across the UK with head coaches desperate for extra staff.  The great news too is that the hours usually needed will fit in and around your studies.

The LTA coaching qualifications follow 5 stages:

Level 1 - Assistant

Level 2 - Instructor

Level 3 - Coach

Level 4 - Senior Coach / Senior Performance Coach

Level 5 - Master Coach

Everyone begins their journey at Assistant level and then progresses through with the only opportunity to skip a level being for players who have achieved ATP / WTA Top #750.  In this instance you can bypass the Instructor level and move from Assistant to Coach qualification.

The good news is the LTA qualifications are recognised and revered around the world, meaning that should you want to travel after your university journey is complete you will be able to use the qualifications to gain employment across the world. So it’s a triple bonus…use your coaching quals at your home club, at university and even across the globe on your travels.
